I LOVE Miami Market in Milford. I visit here at least once a month, more in the summers when I am off work and want a quick, cheap sandwich. I only wish they were open on Sundays... Their sandwiches are HUGE. You can order a "small" sandwich for $1 less, and they are still huge. You can also order a half sandwich for, you guessed it, half the cost.
They have a wide variety of Boar's Head meat and cheeses, and feature Servatti's pretzel buns (you cannot order half of a pretzel bun sandwich). They also have handmade tuna, chicken (two different kinds), ham, and egg salads, along with buffalo chicken dip and many other "side" type items. They offer several soups a day and a hot plate special M-F. Not the healthiest of options, but great handmade comfort food (the mac and cheese is amazing!)
Miami Market is Milford's gem. The employees are fast and friendly and the prices are very reasonable for the quality of food.
I told myself when I started Yelping (what a funny word, haha) that I wasn't going to give out 5 star ratings unless I was totally blown away. Well... here comes another 5 star review. But trust me, it's totally deserved. Miami Market is way off the beaten path and you not likely to happen upon it by accident. So make plans and dive out to the middle of nowhere because it's worth it.
Miami Market is a glimpse into days past, where small stores, not 1million sq. ft. supermarkets ruled the landscape. I gotta admit though, my main reason for going to the Market is not for the small-town feel it conjures - I go for the grub. They have a hot food special everyday and it never disappoints. It's like going to grandma's house and having a meal cooked the way you remember is as a kid. Every Wednesday they have homemade pan fried chicken and mashed potatoes that is so good I spend half of my lunch break every Weds. (ok, not every, but many!) driving there to pick it up.
Seriously good, down-home, comfort food that tastes like it's made by your grandma Ethel. Go here now.
My friend introduced me to this place about 9 months ago and it has become a staple in my lunch time routine! Why go? The hot plate specials of course. The hot plate makes you feel like you are getting a homemade meal from mom. They also have a great selection of sandwiches and bread.
The employees are friendly and the price of a sandwich or hot plate is very reasonable. So if your ever out in Milford (out by the high school) stop by the Miami Market you won't be disappointed.
Wow what can I say this place has GOOD food. They have a rotating daily special M-F and it can't be beat. If you call ahead they will have your food in there drive through for you.
Look on there website for the calendar of the daily specials.
Miami Market is the best kept secret in Milford. Their deli menu offers a wide variety of overstuffed sandwiches that are always good. They also offer a hot lunch special that changes every day (the menu is posted on their website each month).
They do a brisk business at lunch every day, and it can sometimes be difficult to find a place to park. They only have a few tables inside and a few outside in the warmer months, but one is usually available since a lot of the crowd comes for takeout.
A great place to stop to get away from humdrum fast food!
